ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Vandals damaged the sign at the northeast of the DeSales Catholic School building over the weekend, according to a report from the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The school's facilities manager told patrol that he believed the damage may have been done sometime overnight Saturday or early Sunday, as neighbors had complained of unknown people ringing doorbells and causing damage to lawn ornaments in the area at that time.
School officials said the sign will need to be replaced at a cost of approximately $800. They also stated they are working on getting surveillance cameras placed around the school.
Patrol previously had NCSO Dispatch create a periodic check of the area from the prior complaints in the neighborhood surrounding the school.
This investigation is closed pending new information.
East Niagara Post now publishes garage and yard sales.
