ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
The National Weather Service has extended an earlier thunderstorm warning into a thunderstorm watch, which is in effect until 1 a.m.
The earlier warning was originally set to expire at 5:45 p.m., then 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
The weather service states that these are dangerous storms. If you are in their path, prepare for damaging winds, destructive hail, and deadly cloud-to-ground lightning. People outside are encouraged to find shelter, preferably inside a strong building and away from windows.
There have been reports of rotating clouds along the Niagara Peninsula, but NWS has not said any are in or near East Niagara.
East Niagara Post now publishes garage and yard sales.
