TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Rochester Road woman who was reported missing Thursday morning was found in the Royalton Ravine Thursday night by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.
According to a report filed with NCSO, the woman had left her home around 2 p.m. on Wednesday without her purse, wallet or cell phone. Patrol contacted several of the last telephone numbers called from her phone and interviewed those contacted, but no one could give a location of her whereabouts.
With the help of a K-9, they found her around 8 p.m., conscious, at the bottom of the ravine, about 200 yards from her home, according to reports. Fire ladder trucks had to be used to rescue her, according to reports.
She was taken to ECMC and is expected to recover.
