NEWFANE — There were no injuries Wednesday afternoon in a car fire in the parking lot of Eastern Niagara Hospital-Newfane.
According to the report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, a 72-year-old Wilson woman said when she turned in to the hospital parking lot, she thought she could smell smoke. When she realized it was coming from under the hood of her car, she went inside and called 911 immediately.
Miller Hose Fire Co., extinguished the flames and New Auto Towing secured the vehicle after fire investigators completed their work. Niagara County Cause and Origin responded to the scene and was still on location prior to patrol leaving. No other vehicles were damaged from the fire.
