TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Niagara County Sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for a Medina man after a warrant was put out for his arrest on charges that he harassed a Town of Lockport woman Monday evening.

According to a report filed with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Keith George, of an unknown Medina address, grabbed a Robinson Road woman's hair and punched her in the face with a closed fist while she was holding her 11-month-old daughter.

When patrol arrived, the woman had a fat lip but denied EMS. Patrol interviewed a neighbor who stated that he walked out of his apartment and witnessed the woman fall after George hit her in the face.

Statements from the alleged victim and the neighbor were submitted to the Town of Lockport Court for a warrant on the charges of second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.

Patrol contacted George via cell phone. He told patrol that he was walking down South Transit Road in the City of Lockport then hung up. Patrol advised Lockport Police of his description but they were unable to locate him. Patrol called George again to be told that he was picked up by a friend. He again hung up.

Patrol was advised that Medina Taxi — which took George from the woman's residence around 5:30 p.m. — stated that the driver of the cab George was in kicked him out of the cab on Route 31. The area was checked with negative results. When the report was filed, patrol was waiting for a return call from the cab driver. Patrol also was waiting on a call back from Medina Police to try and ascertain an address for George.
