ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 50-inch flat screen TV was reported stolen from a home in the Village on Sunday.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, an unknown person broke into the home sometime between 1 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday, stealing the television, valued at $600, a TV stand, $7.14 in change, and a screwdriver.
The complainant told patrol that the television was screwed into the stand and a screwdriver would have been necessary for removal of the television. The front door of the residence was found by the homeowner to be secure by the door lock and an additional dead bolt lock. A side window screen was located by the complainant and patrol sitting on the ground underneath the window. It appears that the unknown person made entry through the side window after removing the screen from the window.
The complainant told patrol that his residence had been burglarized approximately one month ago, but that he had not reported the incident because only some change had been taken. NCSO ID unit responded to the scene for photographs and fingerprints and the case was forwarded to CIB.
East Niagara Post now publishes garage and yard sales.
