BARKER — A craft brewery slated to open this fall is the latest associate member of the Niagara Wine Trail.
Barker Brewing, owned by Erin Goodlander with support from her husband Gregory and family, is located at 1693 East Ave., across the parking lot from the old Birdseye plant — in a structure the family purchased from the Village of Barker.
The family is excited about the new endeavor getting closer to realization.
"We've been working on it for close to two years now," said Jeremy Petrus this morning.
When the brewery opens, it will feature barbecue and small batch, unfiltered ales to start. Their beers will be available on tap and in growlers.
Barker Brewing is the third associate brewery in the Niagara Wine Trail. You can follow its developments via its website, Facebook, and Twitter.
