A 44-year-old Town of Lockport man was charged with petit larceny for allegedly stealing a three-pack of Budweiser beer and Twisted Tea from a Robinson Road convenience store on Wednesday.
According to a report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Jerry L. Dudley, 6321 Robinson Road, the owner of Kenyons, 6550 Robinson Road, witnessed Dudley place a three-pack of Budweiser beer cans, valued at $6.62, and a can of twisted tea, valued at $3.28, in a satchel which was hanging on Dudley's shoulder. Dudley went to the counter and paid for two other items but did not pay for the items inside his satchel.
Patrol took Dudley into custody at 4:50 p.m. and charged him with petit larceny. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lockport Court on April 24.
