Jason Benedict
A Lockport man was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny by New York State Police on Wednesday.

According to the arrest report, 32-year-old Jason Benedict used his former roommate's debit card to withdraw cash without his permission. Benedict also took over 200 prescription narcotics from the residence, the report said.

Benedict was located in the city of Lockport with the assistance of the Niagara County Sheriffs after a warrant was issued for his arrest following a lengthy investigation, going back to Feb. 12.

He arraigned in front of the Town of Lockport Court and committed to the Niagara County Jail with no bail. Benedict was scheduled return to court on Thursday.
