Two employees of Ridge Road Express had a verbal altercation turn physical Monday morning. And the alleged assailant found himself charged with assault.

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the bus garage around 6:14 a.m. where they were told that 63-year-old Terry Herman, 11484 Portage Road in Medina, had punched another employee after the two had a verbal disagreement.

The victim had redness and swelling to his left eye but declined medical treatment at the time. Later Monday night, he reported to NCSO that he had sought treatment for the injury and had a broken cheek bone.

The victim told patrol that he wished to press charges. Herman was issued an appearance ticket for assault and ordered to Royalton Town Court tonight.
