LPD Officer David Pytlik investigates a
robbery at the Sunoco station Tuesday
night. Pytlik later arrested a teenager who
confessed to robbing another gas station.
A 15-year-old city resident confessed to police this morning that he was about to commit a robbery — and that he had recently committed another.

Lockport Officer David Pytlik stopped thea 15-year-old at appoximately 1:30 this morning near the Sunoco at South Transit and High streets.

The 15-year-old was armed with a fake handgun and told Officer Pytlik that he was headed to rob the 7-Eleven at Transit and High. Upon further interview, the juvenile confessed to having recently robbed that same 7-Eleven. He is also a suspect in the Sunoco robbery three and a half hours earlier, according to LPD.

In the case of the Sunoco robbery, which happened around 10 p.m., it was done by a person in a mask who entered the store and demanded money. The assailant then ran from store eastbound down High Street.

Police officials say the investigation is continuing and further charges are expected. The teenager's name was not released.
