A Village Park Drive woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that a friend of hers took $375 from an envelope sometime late Monday night.

The complainant said she had told her friend where she had kept her rent money, which she had counted earlier in the day. She noticed that the money was missing after the suspect left and tried to get ahold of him with negative results. Patrol also tried to contact the man with negative results.

Charges are pending.
