A Town of Lockport man was arrested this morning by Amherst Police and charged with unlawful surveillance for allegedly installing a camera in an Amherst home's bathroom.
Kevin R. Eckert, 60, is accused of placing the camera in the bathroom while he was doing repair work in order to videotape a female resident while she showered. Eckert had done work for the family numerous times before, police say.
He faces stalking charges in addition to the two counts of unlawful surveillance in the 2nd degree, which are felonies.
Amherst PD is looking for others Eckert may have done work for before and feel as though he acted suspiciously while in their home. They ask that former customers call them at 689-1343.
