The Buffalo Sabres took a three-game winning streak into Dallas, only to have the Stars snap that streak 3-2.

The Sabres took an early lead when Tyler Ennis scored his 15th of the year with 2:43 to go in the first period, but lost it just 1:30 into the second when Jordie Benn scored on a slapshot. With just six seconds to go in the second, Dallas went up 2-1 on wrist shot by Alex Goligoski.

Ennis tied the game 3:23 into the third notching his 16th of the year, but the Sabres fell behind again seven minutes later when Alex Chiasson scored a power play goal for Dallas.

Jhonas Enroth stopped 36 of 39 shots in his second straight start. The recently acquired Jaroslav Halak served as backup goaltender for the Sabres. There has been speculation whether Halak will remain a Sabre or if he'll be dealt elsewhere before Wednesday's trade deadline.

The loss puts the Sabres record for the season at 18-35-8. The Sabres next play on Thursday in Tampa Bay.
