The National Weather Service calls for a high of 16 today in East Niagara, but the waters of Lake Ontario will be a brisk 33 degrees, perfect for the Olcott Lions Club Polar Bear Swim. The overnight low will be 2 — less conducive for swimming.

Monday offers a daytime high of 12 and an overnight low of 0 degrees. Tuesday's high will be 18 with a low of 11. Wednesday gets up to 22 and will have a low of 9. Thursday's high is forecast as 26. The low is expected to be around 13.

Friday brings a relative heat wave with 37 as the high and a low of 25.
