A Newfane man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Wednesday that someone had stolen a Nickelback CD from his wife's car while a contractor was doing work on his home.

According to a report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the CD was taken between Feb. 20 and Feb. 28. The complainant believed that it was taken by one of the approximately six men who were installing insulation into his Lockport-Olcott Road home during that period. The CD had a listed value of $10.

Also taken were two boxes of Remington .35 caliber ammunition and a Led Zeppelin CD, valued at $60 and $10 respectively.

Patrol contacted the company who had done the work and were told they would look into the incident and contact patrol with any new information. Case closed pending new information.
