A 39-year-old Newfane resident told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Sunday that someone stole a three-point landscaping rake he had at a local storage company.
According to the report, it was the third such equipment theft since November. Also taken on seperate incidents were pallet forks and a back plow. The equipment was all stored outside and not locked up, according to the report.
Patrol noticed tire tracks that led to where the complainant said the landscaping rake was. There were two or three sets of footprints around it, as well. However, the tire tracks and foots prints were blown over in the snow so no detail in the tracks were able to be seen.
The case will be closed pending new information.
