A Lockport man was charged this morning for second-degree criminal contempt for allegedly violating an order of protection.

According to the report, filed by the New York State Police, patrol responded to a 6736 Tonawanda Creek Road and arrested Marc R. Sepanski, 24, for violating the stay-away order.

Sepanski, meanwhile, told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that the violation was not committed by him, but rather by someone else. He told deputies that someone else sent a message from his OK Cupid account in order to get him in trouble.

He was processed without incident at the Lockport Trooper's barracks and arraigned by Town of Hartland Justice Joanne Sullivan. He was remanded to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property. He is to appear in the Town of Hartland Court on April 8.
