A city man was charged with possession of marijuana on Monday by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.
According to the incident report, 23-year-old Brian M. Morrow, 82 Niagara St., was charged following a traffic stop on the Lockport Bypass. The report stated that during the traffic stop, "patrol observed a glass jar on the rear floor board with green vegetable residue. ... Patrol smelled the inside and said jar smelled of fresh marijuana."
Morrow told patrol that the jar belonged to him, after which patrol located a small amount of green leafy vegetable in Morrow's front pocket and a burnt blunt on the passenger floor board. Patrol secured both as evidence and submitted them to NCSO Lab.
Morrow was issued an appearance ticket to Town of Lockport Court on April 10.
