State Sen. George D. Maziarz, R-Newfane, appeared on a Albany show to discuss Niagara County flooding, the SAFE Act, and the New York State Teacher of the Year.
Maziarz told "Your Voice" host Julia Lilkendey that the funding to help those flooded went through the Senate easily with bipartisan support.
"Hopefully, right now, we really need the Assembly to pass these bills," he said.
He also discussed the SAFE Act, which he protested recently as part of an event called "The Shot Heard Around New York State" and the New York State Teacher of the Year, Ashli Skura Dreher, a Lewiston-Porter special education teacher.
