Lake Effect Ice Cream is moving beyond just ice cream for their downtown parlor.

This afternoon, the company announced via Facebook that they will be selling coffee from Public Espresso + Coffee this season after meeting with the beanery's owners.

"It took about half a cup to decide that we are definitely using their coffee blends this summer," the post said. "We are thinking it might be cool if we sell their coffee beans, as well. It would be nice to give people the opportunity to enjoy the coffee at home, too. Not to mention, we will be able to drink it every time we work at the shop."

Public Espresso + Coffee announced the deal in a Facebook post, as well.

Public Espresso + Coffee is "a small-batch roaster located in Buffalo," according to their website. "We strive to bring our customers the finest small-batch, single-origin coffees and our own custom espresso blends."

The relatively new coffee company is located at 16 Allen Street, Buffalo.

Lake Effect has had a very busy off season, selling out of their holiday four-packs, expanding their kitchen and signing a deal to be sold in all WNY Wegmans, buying a new truck, installing a custom chandelier, and even making a brief appearance on the Today Show.
