A Town of Lockport man who was arrested last week for allegedly injuring a child will be given a psychiatric evaluation.
Christopher T. Fuller, Jr.was charged Friday with one count each of first-degree assault and reckless assault of a child.
On Wednesday, Fuller's attorney, Michael H. White, requested - and was granted - a psychiatric examination to see if he is mentally competent to stand trial.
Fuller is currently being held in the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
The five-month-old baby remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit of Women & Children’s Hospital, where he has been since the incident.
