A Newfane teenager, was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with driving while intoxicated by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.
According to the report, 18-year-old Anthony S. Wells of West Avenue in Newfane, was pulled over at around 5:30 a.m. on Market Street in Lockport.
After failing field sobriety tests, Wells was charged with DWI and running a red light. He was remanded to Niagara County Jail on $250 bail and his car was towed.
A female passenger in the car was taken home by sheriff's deputies.
Wells is scheduled to appear in Lockport City Court on Wednesday.
