Creeping towards mid-December, the Transit Drive-In Theater remains open - even in the snow.
The drive-in is featuring a Peter Billingsley double feature of sorts this weekend. It includes arguably the most iconic Christmas movie of a generation in "A Christmas Story," paired with a more recent holiday classic, "Elf." Billinsley, of course, played Ralphie in "A Christmas Story." He also had an uncredited cameo role as "Ming Ming" in "Elf."
The other screens offer Disney's "Frozen" with "Thor: The Dark World," "The Hunger Games with "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," and "Thor: The Dark World" with Disney's "Frozen."
There's been no announcement on whether this would be the final weekend of the season. Although we tried to reach out to Transit Drive-In owner Rick Cohen, he was unable to get back to us. According to the drive-in's Facebook page, he's been at a training conference in Sacramento, Calif.
