New York State Police are still searching for answers concerning human remains that were found Sunday in a wooded area in the Town of Lockport.

The body was found by a man walking in a wooded area behind the northeast corner of the Transit and Robinson road intersections on Sunday.

Troopers, BCI and Investigators from the Forensic Identification Unit continue to work with local police agencies to try and identify the remains of what they believe to be a male, over the age of 50 who has likely been in the wooded area for about three years.

Police are asking for the public's help. They ask that anyone with information about missing persons matching the description to please contact State Police Lockport BCI at 434-5589.
