Shortly after midnight, Niagara County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Newfane man on an outstanding warrant from Batavia.
Steven C. Lindemuth, 27, of Merritt Avenue in Newfane was stopped on Transit Road in Newfane for traffic infractions. When patrol checked the Lindemuth for warrants, they found one outstanding on a prohibited alcohol sales infraction out of the City of Batavia, according to NCSO report.
Patrol had communications contact the City of Batavia Police to confirm the validity of the warrant. The warrant was confirmed valid and patrol took Lindemuth into custody and transported him to the county border where they met with the City of Batavia Police, whom was given custody of him.
