Newfane athletics food drive starts tonight

The Newfane Athletic Department is waiving their regular admission fees for a handful of games in order to help stock up local food pantries.

"In lieu of admission fee, we are asking that each spectator bring two cans of food," according to the Newfane School District website. The specific events are as follows:

  • Tonight: Boys basketball vs. Medina
  • Tonight: Swim meet vs. Roy-Hart
  • Wednesday: Wrestling match vs. Albion
  • Friday: Girls basketball vs. CSAT
The food will be donated to First Baptist Church in Newfane and St. Brendan on the Lake food pantries.
