An early-morning altercation in a Town of Lockport apartment complex ended with harassment charges for 40-year-old Andre Thompson.

According to a report by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Thompson's downstairs neighbor in the apartment building at 6596 Dysinger Road asked that he turn the television down shortly after midnight. The neighbor states that as she was walking down the stairs that she was kicked in the back by Thompson, causing her to slip down the other two stairs and hit her hand on the window.

The complainant had a large red mark in the middle of her back, according the the NCSO report. Patrol spoke with Thompson, who denied kicking the complainant. He said they had words and he closed the door on the complainant.

Thompson was charged at 12:45 a.m. and issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear in the Town of Lockport Court at 5 p.m. on Jan. 7.
