Nearly 200 new New York State troopers were recently graduated to service in the state, including Justin A. Brackett of Lockport.
According to state police, "Each and every class that graduates from the State Police Academy has a myriad of stories of obstacles they have overcome to become New York State Troopers; acts of heroism they have been involved in as a civilian, a member of the military, or as a police officer in another agency and of hardships they have endured throughout their life. The 200th Session of the Basic School is no exception."
Brackett will be assigned to Troop C in Sidney.
