Due to overwhelming demand, Lake Effect Ice Cream is promising to increase production of their 2013 holiday four packs.

The Lockport ice cream manufacturer announced that they nearly sold as many four packs on their first day as they did during last year's entire sale.

"Because are selling so quickly, we've decided to add 100 more packs to our limit to make sure that everyone who wants a four pack has a chance to get one," the owners said on their Facebook page, adding that they won't be able to add more than the 100 they announced on Saturday.

That means that they are almost assured of running out of four packs prior to Dec. 8, which was to be the end of the sale.
