Niagara County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 55 year-old Kenmore woman on Christmas Eve for allegedly attempting to shoplift $213.51 worth of clothing and candy from the retail store.
According to the police report, Dinah Chambers of Glencove Road in Kenmore was detained by Walmart security for leaving the store without paying for merchandise. Patrol made contact with the suspect, who produced a NYS driver's license identifying herself.
Chambers was taken into custody by patrol, charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear at the Town of Lockport Court on Jan. 21.
