A Newfane man reported to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Friday that some time in the past week, someone entered his unlocked garage and stole $1000 worth of power tools.

The Orchard Street resident said an unknown suspect stole a large tool box containing approximately $500 worth of hand tools and $200 quarter-inch drive socket set. Also stolen were two circular saws valued at $150 each. No other items were missing and no damage was done to the garage.

The complainant was advised to contact NCSO with any further information. The report said the case will be closed pending new information.
